As MNDFLER pointed out earlier... Bachmann was not the only author of the marriage amendment last session. There were two other authors: Mady Reiter and Michael Jungbauer. Both are quite conservative socially. Either Bachmann is losing the support of her friends, or she is trying to hog the spotlight for her US House run. Either way... it spells trouble for her bill.
